What this is

TCM Wellness provides a free body-constitution assessment based on China's national standard GB/T 46939—2025, together with educational content explaining what each constitution type means in practical terms.

The framework comes from Traditional Chinese Medicine, a system of health observation with roughly two thousand years of continuous written tradition. The standard behind this assessment is modern: it was published in 2026 and is based on epidemiological data from approximately 400,000 cases.

What this is not

When to see a doctor instead

Some symptoms should never be managed at home. Please seek medical attention promptly for: chest pain, unexplained weight loss, persistent night sweats, blood in stool or urine, sudden severe headache, difficulty breathing or swallowing, a new lump, or any symptom that is severe, rapidly worsening, or frightening you.

If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency number.

The standard behind the assessment

GB/T 46939—2025 — Classification and Determination of TCM Body Constitution, issued 2026-01-15, effective 2026-04-01. It is the first national standard for TCM body constitution in China.

It defines nine constitution types and a 27-item assessment scale (reduced from 60 items in the earlier industry standard), with a completion time of about 4 minutes. The evidence base draws on roughly 400,000 epidemiological cases collected over 15 years.

Scoring: transformed score = ((raw score − number of items) / (number of items × 4)) × 100. A pathogenic constitution scoring 40 or above is determined as that constitution; 30–39 indicates a tendency.

Why we publish the caveats so prominently

Health information online is often written to sound more certain than the evidence allows. Traditional frameworks in particular attract inflated claims. We would rather be useful and honest than persuasive and wrong.

If this approach doesn't interest you because of the caveats, that's a reasonable position. If it does, the caveats are what make it safe to explore.
